Mission: Backstories
Location: Conference room
Timeline: MD01 0930

Lieutenant Commander Miley Coulfer flashed into the conference room like blond haired lightning. Not many people realize that she has a natural tendency to being hyper active, mainly because this is the one job in the galaxy that can actually, I mean ACTUALLY give her something to do every 5 seconds.

"Officer on Deck" called a yeoman from the back of the room, Commander Coulfer had already begun to wave everyone back into their seats before he finished.

"Take it easy folks. My name is Lieutenant Commander Miley Coulfer. I am the Chief of Logistics of your new home, and probably someone you will see scurrying from office to office putting out logistical forest fires."

She glanced from face to face and, from somewhere, produced a hacky sack that she began bouncing from hand to hand.

"Please take this opportunity to introduce yourselves, and I'll get on with the briefing".

With that Lieutenant Commander Coulfer looked to the pointy eared member of the room

"My name is Warrant Officer No'Lar Zopek, seconded to Starfleet from Vulcan to aid in setting up Starbase Concordia". The vulcans voice was as stiff as his posture.

"My Name is Mira Kess Security officer here on Starbase Concordia", she said in a stern way looking attentively.


Coulfer swung her head between the two officers, while bouncing her hacky sack still, as though watching a very interesting game of Pong.

Finally she suddenly dropped the sack on the floor, although the resounding lack of impact noise suggested she had caught it with her for and leaned forward on the desk she stood before and focused on Zopek.

"Alright Warrant, you're assigned to me. I've already downloaded to your PADD your assignment and directions to your quarters and office. Though I am sure.."

"Of course I have already determined those locations and memorized them" Zopek replied in the suggestive silence.

"Good, then please get settled and see Lieutenant Kade when you have done so. "

With that she turned her attention to Lieutenant JG Kess. The Vulcan warrant officer took his cue for dismissal and quietly made his way out.

"You, Miss Kess, are not my department. Consider yourself fortunate. I've been known to be a task master. I'm guessing that's why command keeps sending me at least mostly-Vulcan officers. I must be some kind of Kholinar crucible for them."

She finally sat down, though her leg seemed to bounce with energy.

"Do you have any questions, Lieutenant Kess?"

"No Ma'am" Mira said with a straight face, She kept to a straight face, as she stood at attention. Mira felt a bit nervous, but wanted to keep things professional, she kept listening on to LtCmdr Coulfer.

Miley nodded to the young officer and fiddle with her hackey sack a second longer before standing and shaking lt. Kess' hand.

"Welcome aboard Lieutenant Kess."
